housecosting is an independent site. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any government agency or to any organization named on the site. Figures, dates and other data are unofficial copies or estimates for general information only. Nothing on the site is financial, tax, legal, medical or safety advice. Always check the official source before you rely on a number. Results are planning estimates, not quotes, and not structural, electrical or safety advice: your local building code, your supplier and a licensed professional have the final word.

Data sources and attribution

Wage data and price indexes: U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, public domain. Housing survey and new home prices: U.S. Census Bureau, works of the U.S. government. The full list is on the sources page. Naming an agency or a data set does not mean it endorses this site.

Intellectual property

The site design, code and text belong to SV HUB S.R.L., except for the data and components listed on the sources page, which are used under their own licenses. You may link to any page. You may not copy the site or use automated tools that put heavy load on our server.
